How do we bear this burden far too much to carry
How do we change the prison to a sanctuary
We’ve been kept from the light, no one ever gave a damn
If I’ve no one to fight, how do I know who I am?
One foot in front of the other foot
In front of the one foot in front of the other foot
In front of the one…
We waged a war with hell, and look, we still survive.
But just because we live does not mean that we’re alive.
We’ve won the final round, but how to enjoy the win?
When we’ve been broken down and we’ll never know what could’ve been.
Heaven help us where do we begin?
Curtis pointed it out and now I am having a hard time unhearing this song as season 6/7 Buffy. Slightly more optimistic in tone than the thematically-similar “Where Do We Go From Here” in OMWF.

In which Dawn, unlike about 85% of Buffy fans, remembers what happened at the end of Season 6.
Dawn Summers: BAMF. Will set you on fire in your sleep.
And remember, Dawn was the one who always liked Spike. She had a crush on him. She thought he was the coolest. She liked that he had time for her.
My feelings about Spike are complicated, but my feelings about Dawn are simple. Yes to the bold.

roses are red,
violets are blue,
i have a soul
and can’t have sex with you :c
I’m bloody awesome
The Slayer is hot
While you were out brooding
We had sex a lot
You’re both very sweet
that’s no lie, no charade
but stop fighting now
or you both won’t get laid!
Vampyrs are deadly
And vicious it’s true
But Spike is so dreamy
…and the girl is nice too
You guys are both useless
You’re wasting your time
We both know the only bed
B wants in is mine

Probably one of the most accurate and interesting comparisons I’ve read.

I actually think I’m crying
this is the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen in my entire life
I can’t even PROCESS how great the casting is
the best one by far is their suggestion for Faith Lehane: Naya. Rivera.
EDIT: ANTONIA THOMAS AS BUFFY YOU GUYS. BUFFY IS ANTONIA THOMAS. I DON’T EVEN WATCH MISFITS AND I’M EXCITED BY THIS
Dude, if I had my way I’d cast Chewie in ALL THE THINGS.
omg Antonia Thomas is perfect.
flawless flawless flawless omg
THIS IS THE BEST THING I’VE SEEN ALL DAY :””””””D
Omg Chiwetel Eijofor.
D’you know that in the novelization of Serenity, his character was referred to as “the man with glasses” or something like that? Because that’s how the character was conceived of. The glasses were a prop to tell us what sort of a person—what sort of a killer—we were dealing with.
Now picture him in the movie. Does he wear glasses? No, he does not. They would have been superfluous because everything that were supposed to be conveyed by the glasses is instead conveyed through his mere presence.
So now picture him as Rupert Giles, a man who also has glasses as an establishing prop, and who is known for being able to flip the switch from “slightly bumbling intellectual” to “slightly sociopathic guardian of society”. It’s not the same character as The Operative/The Man With Implied Glasses, but it would be incredible to see what Chiwetel Eijofor did with it.
This is the greatest thing. Danny Pudi as Xander? Yes. Sold.

I like you. You’re funny, and you’re nicely shaped. And frankly, it’s ludicrous to have these interlocking bodies and not… interlock. Please remove your clothing now.
Anya, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, The Harsh Light of Day (#4.3)
Do you have any idea how hard it is not to make this speech?
(via lizardkitsch)
Sophie puts in Disc 1 of Buffy. ”Hey Annie, have you ever seen this show before? It’s pretty good.”
I stare at the opening. ”I dunno, man, it’s pretty dark. I don’t like dark shows. And did I see something about vampires? They’re so lame. Monsters. Ugh. Does this show have cops in it?”
DOES THIS SHOW HAVE COPS IN IT
I am a terrible person.
