Naw, that’s a great idea. Depressed people should have pets if for no other reason than they will eventually drag you out of bed.

I’m not gonna make predictions for other people’s lives, but my kitties definitely help me with my depression. It’s a lot easier to get into a good headspace when I have a purring kitty curled up on my chest.

when it comes to anxiety, several pets have been shown to decrease the physical symptoms, at least. and of course, it helps me personally to know that even if I am having irrational panic attack, my dogs love me anyway.

i bought some coyote teeth to make into earrings, primarily because i’m a morbid baby goth, but the decision to get coyote teeth (versus other animal teeth) was definitely influenced by coyote as a trickster figure.

I was thinking as a possible alternative of fox teeth or claws, which have a much broader basis in a lot of myths as tricksters, though in europe they were usually a lot less…ambiguous? than other tricksters like coyote or anansi or br’er rabbit (or even original flavor loki) or foxes in places like japan

no but for real, does anyone have any info from actual native folks for me? not just other white people whitesplaining how there’s no cultural significance to coyotes of non-native poc acting like they’re an authority? bc the teeth just got here and I’m super thrilled but I would also like to have an opinion a little more informed than “other white people debating it with me”
